Taco Sauce Recipe

 Taco Sauce

Ingredients
8-12 tomatoes, chopped and seeded
1-2 green peppers, chopped
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1 med. onion, chopped
1-2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 tbs. fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 tbs. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Steps
1.  Cook all ingredients on low for 2-3 hours.
2.  Puree with hand blender or in blender. 
3.  Cook longer to thicken or add water if too thick.

Notes: I doubled the recipe and used 1 poblano, 1 white pepper, 1 green jalapeno, and 2 red jalapenos as well as 2 large red onions.  This makes a fairly mild sauce.  Increase the jalapenos or add a serrano/habanero to make it spicier.
